TWL: Top Hats & Tails
On a sunny August day, with a clouds creeping across the sky, The Wedding Landy made her way from the Norwich HQ to Fowlmere. A pretty village on the southernmost border of Cambridgeshire, near the town Royston and just a spit from The National Trust Wimpole Estate, The Imperial War Museum at Duxford and Cambridge itself.
Before too long, we soon arrived at the family home to a giggling chorus getting ready for the day! Tony, the driver, welcomed 8 Bridesmaids and the MOB into Lady T, before taking the Bride and FOB to St Mary’s Church, if we thought the sky was a photographers delight, the church was another! Built in the 12th century, St Mary’s is an impressive flint church with a 5 bell tower, and with the bridal party ascending the steps inside, a crowd drew in to watch the proceedings and cheer the happy couple as they came out!
The newlyweds climbed into Lady T, adorned with her Fuchsia ribbons and bows, and waved as they made their way away from the church towards The Barn at Alswick for their reception. The couple welcomed their guests to the stunning and characterful Barn, whilst their photographer Joshua Andrew Potter captured it all!
